Google Chrome and Internet Explorer are both very popular browsers. As a browser Chrome is faster and has better features but who is the winner when it comes to blocking threats or security?

Actually real score was 9/10 7/10. You don't give points on fifth one.

When you consider the addons that are available for Chrome - IE is simply not a serious consideration for those who want the best browsing experience.  There are a lot of security addons for Chrome.

Both crap and slow, stopped using IE years ago and gave up Chrome also. Happy with Firefox.

The biggest difference of course is that Chrome updates on a constant basis as well as Firefox changing to meet those threats where IE will get patched and after a couple of years will update their browser.

Thanks for the review.

My own peculiar security so far "blocks anything that moves" re malware, which is good as I find testing IE11 for Win7 over at "Browserscope" eternally results in finding IE11 failing the tests for strict transport security and content security policy; in Chrome and Firefox, I can use addons which get them scoring 16/17 on Browserscope security tests, but IE hasn't allowed addons in newer versions.

I had always thought that IE was too dangerous to use.. I guess Microsoft did change their game and improved their browser.. Good job. They finally beat Google on security.

It really does not matter, with K-9 web filter, along with a web filter from your anti virus, or another from playstore for a extension add on, like avira, you will not conflict and 90% of the time you are good. If not k-9 try mccafe safe browsing - it adds a little more to the memory usage/cpu but it does good job also.

I use Internet Explorer as y main browser. I like it a lot in terms of use as well as looks. I don't mind if it a second or two slower. I really don't, My main goal is security, and it gives me a lot, then especially with Windows Defender. And it also can block adds, which I can't stand. So I don't need any addons like Adblock or something. And that is all I need.
Yes, I do use chrome as my secondary browser, should I need something. But only when I doN't have any other choice. I don't really like it otherwise. Even less any other.

Why don't you try Comodo Dragon?  It supposedly has a higher degree of security than Google Chrome and doesn't track your browsing habits.  Also videos on Youtube buffer a lot more quickly using Comodo Dragon.
