Hi! I'm currently a Sakara subscriber based in Miami and haven't had any issues with deliveries. I'm not sure where my meals are prepared and shipped out of but thankfully, everything has been pretty seamless. Hopefully they're able to work out the kinks out of CA because the food is really delicious and I feel GREAT eating them.

I am here because I’m so close to canceling the subscription. I started last year in November and it seems to be “sakara culture” to have missing and late deliveries. It’s disappointing especially with the amount of money I’m paying for the subscription. My app stopped working a couple weeks ago so I’ve been ordering through the desktop. Just a hassle all around. I’m looking at other alternatives. Thank you for this video. I appreciate the honesty

I just found this, and I have been with Sakara for a long time. I have had order issues, meals missing, and, in fact, I got double meals and was double charged even though I didn't order double (they did refund one of them). Upon opening my boxes last week and this week, one of my salads had come open and was spilled all over the box. I have yet to receive an email back after I emailed customer service. The salads' QUALITY has dropped considerably while they raised the prices. Most of them smelled like there was something quite off in them. I used to recommend them over THISTLE and URBAN REMEDY - I have tried both. I find THISTLE to be better tasting than URBAN REMEDY, and I like having choices. I, too am done with SAKARA.

I will never pay $30.00 per meal for convenience regarding food delivery services. You can hire a local private chef for everyday meals at that price. I like to construct my own meals weekly. Thanks for the review. ❤

I am halfway through my first week with Sakara. Although the food is delicious and filling, I am not going to continue, for the reason you cite--customer service. I ordered because I was going to be out of town and wanted to eat healthy. They screwed up my first order--sending it to my billing rather than delivery address. It took me literally 3 days and 6 emails before Sakara responded and corrected the mistake. And yes--it was "Kelly." I called--no one answered. Emailed--no response. I even DM'd the founders on Instagram. That finally got a response. Just too much time and effort for the exorbitant price they charge. I have ordered Thistle for next week. Fingers crossed. OVERPRICED, SOGGY MEALS, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, NO FEEDBACK, POSSIBLY CONTAMINATED FOOD

Absolutely the worst customer service. My first delivery was missing 2 entire days. The food was soggy and most of it was very unappetizing. I paid for the The 30-Day Reset Nationwide: 20-Day, due to all the positive reviews and the information on their website. I went to check the calendar on the app, and it said I had no plan. I emailed the support (weekend), they sent back a very short message saying check the website, the app probably isn't working. Checked the website and no plan listed in the calendar. The only list of what I received was on a UPS label stuck to the inside of the box.

The meals were packed in a lot of plastic. The sauces and toppings were in the food containers, and covered in food. I wonder if they clean those containers before they cram them with the rest of the meal. I called today, since it has been 2 days since my email to Sakara Life regarding the issues and missing meals and no one answers the phones. You get a voicemails stating to email them because that is probably the fastest. Very disappointed.

Missing meals, soggy food, contaminated meals, by putting plastic containers in with your food. I did the math and it cost around $28.00 per meal ($1, 680 divided by 20 [number of days] = $84 per day divided by 3 meals = $28 per meal), which some of the meals are six ounce container full of soggy contents, unappealing. Definitely very disappointed. Some of the meals remind me of the public school meals. There is no way to tell them you didn't like something, so they don't send it again. Other meal companies definitely do this and at a lower price point. I'll update if and when I hear back from Sakara Life. I wish I could send in photos and video to show what I received I am sure many people wouldn't order.

PS: Oh and one thing I find immoral/unethical is that they are using UPS labels in their packaging, for their companies use, not used for shipping, but actually printing on the labels and putting them in the box. That is how I received the list of meals in my delivery. Very sketchy and definitely not the motto they print on every meal "Made with Love, Whitney and Danielle". I have my own small businesses and I would never use anyone's supplies for my own savings. It is tantamount to stealing.

Their website states it hasn't been updated since 2021. They are using Shopify for their website, so it should be just a setting.

I'll be setting up a website with photos, videos, my experience and the response I get back from Sakara Life.

Oh and thank you for the recommendations. I am in rural VA, so I will check to see if any of those delivers out here.
