My Mini ZX7250 same as yours. The meter lies big time, low arc voltage means keep a tight arc and forget about using E7018 rods, but still a good light welder. Mine is relegated to a “ Shelf Queen”. I grounded mine the same way.

Excellent review and test, what is good is that it is small and easily transportable. Great video.

Sounds a really fair review, for its size for storage and portability and the application that it looks like its designed for it honestly looks really good, the earth is a really nice but simple touch for added saftey and piece of mine, I will consider one of these to practice welding with when I create a new setup, I've never had a go at welding before and this looks good for introducing me to it. Thanks for the share and have a good weekend :-)

I can see how it could be handy in that it's light weight and easy to store, I use as a rule, 1/8 " rods I think that's about. 3.175 mm. I find that 6011 rods work best for what I do.

I just got an IGBT little welder and have yet to try it out. It's rated at 110 amps using 120/240 volts. It comes with a U.S. style 120 volt plug and is indeed grounded to the chassis. It comes with an adapter cable that plugs into a U.S. style 240 dryer plug that goes to a 120 volt female plug. Using a an ohm tester, I'm getting a reading from all three prongs at both ends. This means the cable is supplying 240 volts for the welder but the plug style can be used with a 120 volt product frying it. Surely that can't be legal?

I hate how they lie about the amperage on these mini machines. I have a havadou 225 120v welder that claims and shows 225 amps but I can tell it's more like 125 or so amps but it does weld 1/8 6010 rods and 3/32 7018 very well but still not near 225 amps. I'm not upset because I bought it for 45 bucks at a pawn shop lol.

Is this using 120v outlet or 240v outlet mine doesn’t work at all on a 120v and it didn’t come with a plug attached so that’s just what I put on it

Not bad for a freebie handy to keep in your shed I guess 👍

Some people have got better results from these by swapping the terminals around.

Please measure the amps with a C clamp amp-meter. To show proof and To see if the amps are accurate as advertised with this model with so many welders overblown amps and fake duty cycles.
