Anyone spreading bullshit information to justify why this is a good thing is just getting banned.
Snowbreak DID NOT make a profit BECAUSE of the EN VOs getting cut. They would've seen an increase in revenue even if they kept the EN VO.
Snowbreak went a different route with their character designs making them more revealing which is easy bait to make players spend.
Do not make it seem like cutting the EN VOs made them money because it didn't.

I am mostly in the game for it's combat and I have enough experience and habit with gacha games that I can read the story even without voice acting. But I can empathize with players who enjoy the lore and dive even more into the story due to great voice acting and the voice acting in AG was pretty decent, even mindblowing in important moments. I have a friend who doesnt play an excellent game such as PGR and I can understand his reasoning. Not all play for the combat. Some play for the lore in which voice acting plays a vital role. It's a challenge to the devs as they have promised to bring content exciting and fun enough the compensate for the reduced voice acting. Just what kind of content or even reward do they plan which they believe can bring back the major audience who were in the game for it's lore, just when it was getting even more interesting and fun.

Regardless you like EN dub or not, this is not a good sign for the game. What a "great" start to anticipate 1st anniversary.

Sad to see this happen I was really happy when this game had English dub

I personally never used the EN dub, but I do feel for those that did.

I am NOT happy! I even cut my spending in Genshin last year to play and spend in this game when it came global. What will be cut next, the PC client? I am so sick of the emulator and was mainly spending to help the game's profits while they were low on the revenue charts.

Now it is time to save my money and wait for the PC client before anymore spending because the game is making cuts to stay afloat. Who knows what is next or for how long it can continue?

Anyway, good video! Thanks for letting us know.

It's very sad, because they have one of the best voiceovers in the game I have ever heard in gacha games.

Well said Chaotik, English Dub was one of factors that I enjoyed the game. I feel like reducing my time in Aether Gazer as well

i knew it...and it's frustrating!
but i can still imagine their voices at least😂

tbh the voices used here r unique.. i usually turn off the dub but AG was another story

As someone who also speaks english, i feel this is a bit sad. That being said, i only played the game on eng dub for a month or two, then switched to JP out of curiosity. And as someone who also can understand some japanese too, i have to say, im too surprised the story dub got cut. There are soo many mistranslations and other issues regarding the quality (in a conversation between Odin and Thor, in ch 12 there are multiple sentences added to a two word reply), that honestly, im glad they went this way. I hope Yostar goes and spends the extra money they will end up with, and spends it on translators that will do a better job. The VA-s did a really gread job, but they can only work with what they are given. And imo there is few worse thing that can happen to a game, than butchering the story not only in text but in audio too.

Since I only play with japanese voice in all games, I don't really mind much about it.. but everyone have theirs tastes and preferences.. I'm only interested in the PC version release more fast.. ~

I'm really sad about that decision😢 I personally REALLY liked the english voices in AG since I started playing and to see them cutting them off like that...

What a disappointment 😥
Especially since the EN voices kept improving in each updates (bastet and thor's EN voices are great)

Dang, thats bad.. Although i play the game with jp dub, this games has really good EN dub. Probably one of the best EN dub i heard. Feels bad man..

Hard to blame them for this. It basically just means not enough people are actually using EN voiceovers.
Looking at the PtN comparison, due to the overall style of the game and such, I'm willing to bet significantly more people are using EN voices over there. That was the case for me as well (I opt for JP whenever possible in these games, but PtN still had me going EN).

I apologize for the long comment, but i hope you read. I don't usually comment a lot, but obviously this situation is new for all of us.

I too am very sad. Aether Gazer is the first gacha that I ever got really attached to. I love the gameplay, the music, the characters, and especially the story. The English voices during the story were very special to me and although it isnt quite a deal breaker, it just won't be the same without them.

I've spent a few hundred dollars on Aether Gazer so far. I'm unsure how this will affect my spending moving forward. I still want to support the game and the things i bought (tbf) did not directly have to do with the dub (ie skins and packs). I play through visual novels with no english vo all the time, so I'm really trying to coax myself through this change, telling myself I'm used to this type of experience. Truly, I am sad though.

Do you think this means anything bad for the game's staying afloat, Chaotik? I'm a bit nervous that the game is going to die and that would be such a huge shame. I know gachas die all the time but after spending so much time and money (and even getting some merch) I guess Im worried I'll be left with egg on my face. (I literally just created an inspired phone case design the other day, only to wake up to this announcement)

I guess not enough people used the En voices to justify them, but it makes me sad that the game was delayed for this. Maybe it would've been better received had it released when the hype was highest and of course people would be much less upset if there was no english to begin with because of the feeling of false promises.

Nah bro this hit me deeply, now i have zero interest in doing the main, its so dame boring just reading it no emotion of the characters no more, i literally just skip most the panels and just do it for the shards and not for plot because it doesn't feel the same

I play all anime games even though all of them aren't based on an anime on English dub because I'm a slow reader. Even though I don't play Aether Gazer anymore it had some of best english dubs I've seen in gacha games
