Abandoned Mall in Missouri

Imagine how many people could be housed in these malls if the shops were made into into small apartments.

Sad to see malls going away. I grew up in the 80s and malls were the place to be during those times. It would be nice if they could renovate it.

I always though they should turn them into medical “malls” with different specialty clinics such as podiatry, maybe dentistry, smaller stuff that doesn’t have the requirements of large equipment. It makes more sense to reuse instead of making new pop up clinics like the ones being built.

This is in St Louis missouri. This is literally 5 minutes away from my parents house. I grew up down the street from Jamestown Mall! I'm 32 years old now but when I was a child and a teenager that was the coolest place to be!

These malls need to be turned into senior citizen communities. You can have units, medical, food, exercise programs, ect all inside a building so they can't 'get lost' while still feeling like they are living rather than stored in rest homes where they are just without care.

STL...THE CRIB! Jamestown Mall used to be dope!!!... especially the food court...we use to kick it there after School.. that was a nice Mall back in the day.

This is freaking fascinating. It would be beyond sooo cool if a settlement of people just came in to live there. Each store could be a house or somebody's "territory", and the food courts could be a communal eating or recreation area. Like a really weird take on an apartment complex xD

It’s definitely the mall from left 4 dead 2… look at side shops and hallways. Remember the mall was closed so they bricked it and wooded it up so they had to use the show vehicle to break out

The Malls were a cool 😎 place to go, after you came from the mall, you would tell your friends.The malls were also very luxurious. You had your water fountains, glass ceilings.
