I grew up going to that mall. As a little kid I was “balance beam” on the concrete things there the plants grew. Memories man. Always wanted to tour the place as it was vacant.

If they were smart, they would've Renovated it and turned the Macy's into a grocery store, & the rest of the stores into apartments. Renovate the theater tooo. How cool would that be to live in an old mall?!

I drive past this place every day on my way to work. The place is in terrible shape and several homeless people live there. It smells awful. That place is near and dear to my heart though. Rest in Peace Jamestown Mall

I remembered working at Macy’s at JTM. Was very beautiful and popular at its prime time.

Our mall is medical doctor's and hair, nail, food store, apartment's, it's a city under one roof it was the best thing to save the building and some of the parking lot turned into a yard area .

Imagine being one of the workers that built that mall, imagine driving past it now thinking "look at all my hard work...gone to waste"

Such a shame. Looked like a great mall. Online shopping will never, ever replace the social aspects of being with friends/family/shopping/ dining experience of the mall.

I think seeing abandoned theaters hurts me the most… IDK why, just imagining all the memories there that people have made… all the best and worst movies played there. Just sad to see places like that left to rot

It's just been demolished. I grew up going there and it used to be packed! In fact, it was expanded when I was little.

The fact that it is gone in just a couple of generations is baffling to me. Only exists in my memory now.

I love when they convert these places into multi dwelling buildings with really cool public spaces.

Dam I didn't even know Jamestown shut down. That was one of the nice malls when I was a kid.
