That’s why us explorers can’t disclose locations because people like to come vandalize and just destroy everything they can touch

My grandchildren will never know the sheer fun of hectic Christmas shopping in a PACKED shopping mall with lines for Santa, Christmas music being played everywhere, the "cool Window displays" centered around the best gifts for Christmas, the scents of Roasting nuts and fresh popcorn wafting through the Sears store (Yes, they had candy, Nuts and popcorn section in Sears) those were the days! I LOVED working in Malls as a Buster Brown & Stride Rite assistant manager in my 20s. Then going shopping after my shift. Thanks to Online shopping and cutting out the middle man, lower costs and at home delivery, Mall shops couldn't compete. Sad

I grew up in a mall in the early and middle 70's that's where everyone hung out. You met girls/guys, got high and hung out, McyDee's, hobby stores, record shops, stereo stores, food courts, Christmas shopping, Easter egg hunts, you name it. Those were the days.🙂

I love malls. I still go to 2 almost every year for Christmas shopping. Anyone else miss the 90's ?

the death of the mall is a huge blow to local economies. All that money spent and all those jobs kept the money relatively local. Now, TEMU, Wish, Wal-Mart, and Amazon get all of it. Not to mention the sense of connection and community provided by the mall. Its very sad.

I grew up right by 2 malls and a small mini mall in the 70s and 80s and we walked up there all the time and had so much fun! I had my first job at an ice cream parlor called Swenson's Ice cream and that mini mall had a video arcade called Funway Freeway, a T-shirt printing place where you could get anything you wanted printed and Annex 7 which had 7 movie screens. Just telling you about it is making me miss those days of my youth! 😢❤

You know you're in an alternate universe when Sears is thriving but the rest of the mall is shuttered! 😱

Malls used to be great! Too bad teens don’t get to experience it like we did. There’re still successful malls around but it’s not the same!

In my lifetime, I remember when I was a kid. I love to go to the mall you know girls, arcade games. I miss 80's, 90's and early y2k area. However, right now just amazing how.
I'll just big plot of land and sitting out empty. We should leave the land alone!😊

Put over 55 communities in the Malls. Seniors can walk inside after hours or go to the 24hr Gyms. Using these spaces as untapped senior residential properties would bring back people and have a sense of nostalgia for residents over 55.

There needs to be more horror videogames based in abandoned malls

Nothing creepier than a place where there used to be a lot of people, sitting dark and silent...

I wish they would repurpose these buildings for something. Schools, or concert venues, housing, distribution warehouses, theme park…something to bring back cashflow to those communities.
