Speech therapy for a frontal lisp: A frontal lisp is when a child is sticking their tongue out between their teeth to produce the /s/ and /z/ sounds.

Check out my tips in this video for how to help a child produce the /s/ sound with their tongue tip behind their teeth.

I've had that s lisp until I was in 6th grade. I knew I'd have major problem with people mocking me for it once I enter the high school since the whole time I hadn't resolved it everybody would make fun of me, classmates, friends, cousins, my mom, kids younger than I was, and the worst was from both my sisters especially the older one. I was able to rid me of that lisp without the therapy doing exactly what she was teaching

I’m gonna try this, I don’t really like having a lisp since I sound goofy with it

I had speech therapy as a child and fixed several problems but had a move during my s treatment. Recently got a call center job so I searched for help! Thank you I think this might work!

I'm literally a teenager and have had this problem ever since I started speaking English as a third or fourth language and eventually started pronouncing "S" in a very airy and weird way in every language I spoke. This helped sm😭

interesting, i'm 28 not a child anymore haha, but as a child i trained myself to shorten my tongue, so it stays flat rather than curl up toward the roof of my mouth. i still have to consciously do it every day even now, but the frontal lisp feels so unnatural. i'm kind of stuck in between

I have a lisp. All of my friends are aware about this. But when I speak with unknown one, the look they give makes me feel realy awkward.. Its like I am dealing with something huge.

As a teenager who had a lisp my whole life, these instructions were too difficult for my tongue 😭

Nu uh.. lisp isn’t that hard to understand, as long as the kid isn’t bother by it they should b proud of their quirks!! :3

This is cool, but at the same time I find a lisp endearing, and even attractive.
