As someone who had ADHD, I can tell you that it is definitely real. Before diagnosis, I couldn't bring myself to read a single sentence without being distracted by the most random things, I had problems in every area of school, was constantly anxious, and had problems sleeping. When I finally started getting treated, I began getting low 80's instead of high 50's while excelling in every class rather than barely passing any. Yes, some people are mistreated but that doesn't mean it isn't real.
