I have a retail store. This device looks like a great way for customers to be able to do a virtual remote walk thru of my store when it is closed. This has HUGE potential in a lot of ways that people can't even imagine.

Imagine robbing someone's house only to have this drone come fly into your face.

This would play havoc with an alarm system's motion detectors.

I am imagining the flying drone will later evolve to have suction cups that will allow it to mount itself to walls, ceiling.. or a kind of passive or active hook to its top.. and also some kind of arm/stick that will allow it to press or move things.. and or some kind of grabber that will allow it to pick up things.. I think it would be interesting if you could give it audio commands.. such as "go check the kitchen or go check the front door or go check the living room (etc).. as opposed to having to manually fly it to a location and fly it back.. I think the future will include a full 360-degree cam and perhaps even stereoscopic vision?... perhaps also some kind of dynamic camouflage that allows it to change its color to match the background?

You do make some good points here. I'm sure you are aware that you're smartphone thanks to Google tracks everywhere you go correct? People I know that were none the wise could not believe when I showed them how to access such data. It literally shows what time you left your home, the gas station right down to the address how long you were at that gas station. Your drive to work what road or highway you took, how long you we're at work and it's location pretty much everywhere you go with your smartphone you can pull up records spanning months.

Damn this starts to look like the future. The flight is so smooth.
Second gen drones, I suppose.

Imagine this at an office floor checking who's not working, sleeping, slacking, on their cellphone etc.

I'd rather have something like that flying the perimeter outside of the house.

I figure all that is necessary for a private home is a bunch of cheap tiny cameras tied into a central system (BTW, this drone is also tied into a central Ring system). May take a few hours to install but a lot more reliable than a flying R2D2.

We needed an OUTDOOR drone camera. Who the heck needs this inside??? All the action is outside the house. I’m still gonna use this outside

How does it maintain altitude? I would think a proximity sensor on the bottom?
