In fact, our city is being built on top of the eucalyptus industrial city and squeezed between Samarinda and Balikpapan in East Kalimantan. The capital city is not built on a rainforest, its an industrial monoculture forest of eucalyptus tree to produce paper and pulp. You can even see it in every construction video.

This is news that is not based on facts. IKN stands in an industrial forest of eucalyptus trees for paper, not a natural forest. Natural forests are still maintained in Kalimantan. IKN combines buildings and forests in a ratio of 40:60 All energy used at IKN uses green energy, from vehicles to power plants and there will be no pollution. Construction is currently only entering stages 1 and 2. The plan is to be completely completed in 2045
