I was one of the people who got falsely banned on Valorant. A year of sending tickets, pleading innocence, providing evidence and videos, and yet no help from Valorant support. They just insist that I cheated... which makes no sense. 7 year old Riot account, playing Valorant since beta with a little over 400$ spent. What the fuck. I love how I predicted the false bans would be happening here as well, as soon as Vanguard launches in EUW I am uninstalling.

The problem is that everyone has all sorts of programs running on the background (not necessarily cheating programs) but Vanguard still think its a cheat.

They want to compensate lack of moderation with anti-cheat in a game built over a spaghetti foundation, instead of remaking the whole thing properly. Yes it would take time and money and it would slow down content roll out, but considering how bare bones the game has been for a while now, I think it would still be the better opition. And in the end they will need to do a lot more moderation work to unban accounts.

While they don’t seem confident, at least before globally releasing it they’re sending it to a testing grounds. Better to face a small load of backlash over backlash from every side. I have a feeling, just like for Valorant, talks about Vanguard for LoL will disappear in a couple months as people forget it’s even there.
