I let games with kernel anti-cheats go. The majority of such games are either extremely toxic or money-hungry gacha. Instead I discovered games that trust their players, and communities in these games are far better too.

This is the reason I uninstalled Valorant, vanguard staying on at boot was giving me security issues and was easily eating 2 hours worth of my laptops battery life.

Imo, the biggest risk is vulnerabilities in the anticheat leading to kernel access. With some hard drives, you can inject malware into the firmware so a clean reinstall doesn't remove the malware, but that is sooo tricky
