This "Judeo-Christian" thing only exists in the anglosphere world by the way. You get weird looks by a lot of people elsewhere, especially if you're not in a neo-con environment. It makes no sense for people to put that into the spotlight in a christian nation. You can say it's part of the history but we don't call it "Roman-Christian" or "Greco-Christian" either because these things are all just a part of Christendom.

I studied at the Convent as a Catholic. It is so valuable to learn about the Old Testament to understand The New, our eternal, New Christian Covenant.

Part of the reason why evangelicals have this focus is because of culture. There is a culture within Judaism that they see as historical and foundational. Within evangelicalism, it is a relatively new one where it seems there is no unified culture. They always want to 'get back to the roots' of Christianity, but that usually focuses on looking at Judaism as early Christianity is Catholic/Orthodox. I have seen this with at least several people who have converted to Judaism.
