The reverse-fitted neck humbucker and out of phase centre position wiring created one of the most recognisable guitar sounds of the genre – real “Black Magic”. Differential bell type control knobs and sealed gear replacement tuners all add to the mojo.... Still got the blues? Trev's V100 “Lemon Drop” is a real tribute."

The orientation of the pickup itself doesn't actually matter, it's the cables that have been switched around.

I. Bought the reissued version few months ago. I love it ! I could use a bit practise though. Good video review mate!

Really nice review, man! You made that thing sound good. I'm already a Vintage guy - got the AFD Paradise (replaced the pups with Seymour Duncan Slash signatures) and also a regular iced tea V100 (with Seymour Duncan Phat Cats), but this guitar has a tonality all of it's own. Damn, how many Les Pauls can one have...

Where I live epiphone and this guitar is at the same price, so I’m asking which one should I get?

To get the best from the out of phase position, the amp needs to be cleaner and you need to juggle the volume and tone controls until you hit the sweet spot.

obviously all negative comments will be from people who own and play the original... For my taste it sounds a tad tinny, but I absolutely love the Vintage, have had Gibson lp before but it really wasn't all THAT good, went out of tune pretty badly, I am sure other ones sounded better than the one I had! NOW the fact that this Vintage comes in a lefty, I really think this guitar is worth the money. But heard some, not all, but some need to be re-set a bit for maximum playability, no problem with that!! I have heard about 20 Vintage l.p. models/V100 and on stage and at homes, they sound pretty damn good, I have my lwfty coming in Mind you, I have sleepless nights hoping I get a good one! lol Nice video, thanks, cheers :-)

When did you purchase that guitar? because the ones on their site have a slightly different shape and a heel contour on the back, the one you have (other than headstock design) has the body exactly like the Gibson LP.

You should try the Harley Benton's from Thomann.de they're basically the same as the Vintage, made in the same factory, but even more affordable because they are not distributed like the Vintage, so the price is kept lower for essentially the same guitar.

Great to see a lefty review a guitar! One thing tho, when you flipped the guitar over? That didn't look like a mahogany back.

Witch one is the best buy vintage v100 or ESP LTD EC 256?

Nice review and guitar. How does it compare to an Epiphone Les Paul? How is the action on them?

This colour is gorgeous, not a fan of that relic in the back though. Too bad there isn't a version without it.
