One of the tricks with the frame is leaving all the screws non tight until the whole frame stands.
It only takes one screw tightened slightly ascew to influence the rest.

Then start tightening slightly one by one while holding the frame down firmly on a flat surface. I put my spirit level across the x-extrusions and pressed down on that.
Go over the screws again while still holding the frame down with one hand. At each end you tighten diagonally.

Then turn the whole frame 180 degrees to check if you surface actually was level in the first place.
Job done.

Man great review!! I really like the fact you had an honest opinion and that you didn’t try to bash printers you haven’t used. I wish more reviews were like this. I mean no crappy music or 20 minute long rants about this and that. It was about the object you had at hand thanks I’m subbing.

Welcome to the community.
Really enjoy using my Mk3. It wasn’t my first printer but it is the one I go to for dimensionally accurate prints.

Scott, I just stumbled onto your review of the Prusa i3 mk3 printer.
I appreciate your no-nonsense review because I've been thinking about purchasing one of these
printers. It would be my first 3d printer, also. Of course, now it would be Prusa's model i3 mk3s that
I would be purchasing.

I've spent hours reviewing a wide range of 3d printers reviewed on youtube and have come to the
conclusion that the Prusa printer is reliable, lots of support and reasonably priced. I would also
purchase it in kit form to save some money.

I hope to purchase their i3 mk3s within the next 2 weeks. I hope I can ask you questions if I get stuck
assembling this unit. Also, I'm very interested in printing with PETG. I have a mechanical/electronic
project that I'm working on at this time. I will print the majority, of the parts, using the Prusa printer.

Again, thanks for your excellent review!

Jesus the fact that you can talk while the printer is working is insane, its so quite.

Still green xD those black parts are ABS, which gives it higher melting temperature. They use it because it's near the extruder which gets really hot. Also I built my own MK3 clone, ordered from aliexpress for $400 and boy oh boy.... it prints just as the original one. Nice video!

One of the best reviews I seen. I was interested mostly in the noise, this seams very real to me. Some test with microphone close to the printer, don't represent it real. Subbt to your channel 👌, thanks

Thanks for this. I’m only interested in printing functional things out of PETG and TPU, but pretty much all of the reviews I’ve seen are with PLA, which my ender 3 handles just fine and I don’t care about. My mk3 will be here tomorrow and it’s good to hear that you’ve been having good results with stock profile and the basics filament.

Thank you for this informative review. I am new to the 3D printing hobby. I order this Prusa i3 MK3 yesterday. It will be my introduction to 3D printing.

1) You mentioned the AmazonBasics PETG filament. How well and consistent does this AmazonBasics PETG filament work compared to other brands including the Prusament?

Good choice! I wasted several hours trying to get my frame perfectly straight too, the instructions made it sound easy but once all the bolts were tightened mine would always wobble. It’s not noticeable once I put the rubber feet on it though. You should check out OctoPrint / OctoPi !

Nice video. Pleasant to watch. I just wish you would have shown some close ups of the printed parts... Thanks.

Thanks for the review !!
I'm a 3D newbie myself, so would you recommend a kit over a pre-assembled printer for someone with few technical expertise ?

Built my MK3 about 3 weeks ago and also spent a bit of time trying to get the frame totally plumb. Could not get the slight rocking to go away and finally ignored it. This seems to be a recurring issue but did not affect final build.

Happy to hear it was a relatively good experience. This is exactly what I am currently looking at for a first 3d printer. Probably the kit too since it sounds like it wasn't a bad build.

Thanks for the video. I've been looking for a video from someone who is not very experienced with 3d printing. Also, you sound like Jim Gaffigan.

I bought one and I'm regretting it now. One of the printed parts broke during assembly when setting nuts into the printed part. Thinking I'd get a new one sent to me, I contacted Prusa. "it's your fault. Buy a replacement from our shop". What? the part was badly printed, with bad dimensional accuracy. "Doesn't matter. Pay for a new part form out shop".
Wish I knew about their attitude before I paid premium $ for hobby quality.
