After watching the first 40 episodes currently in the nami arlong arc, I've noticed this show has an amazing ability to switch from incredibly goofy to giving you an absolute gut punch out of no where lol

I spent years writing this anime off. Finally started it after the LIVE ACTION. I can't get enough, I am 200 episodes in. Which brought me here, great content!

My cousin got me to try one piece a few months ago when I ran out of anime, I heard of the series before but I thought the length was too much, and the fact that it's still ongoing discouraged me. With the quarantine, I finally gave it a try. It took me 8 months to binge it all with my dad. I don't regret starting the series, I only regret the fact that I didn't start watching it sooner. This series will always hold a place in my heart even after it will end

People act like you gotta "suffer" through East Blue and that meme is legitimately harmful to the community because people believe it. Nothing in East Blue is bad. *Nothing* in One Piece is bad. "Bad" by One Piece standards is still an above-average manga experience, and the worldbuilding is always slowly building steam.
Missing details that are brought up in earlier arcs makes the payoffs down the line potentially completely missable, seeing as many of them do not have attention drawn to them. I recall making the connection with Usopp when they were leaving Little Garden because I remembered how he mentioned it as one of his lies in his hometown. Don't deny new readers that satisfaction by shitting over arcs that didn't click for you, as there's no need to be hyperbolic.
Geez, I can't imagine how much it would suck to read Water 7 without having read Syrup village earlier. Luffy and Usopp's conflict would carry no weight if you didn't read the details that lead to it.

I just started last week, currently at the Baratie arc. The art style did put me off from the show for years especially the early episodes (but I guess it’s just that early 2000s anime look) but damn I regret wasting so much time now. Can’t wait to catch up on the anime and then start reading the manga 😁

But yeah for those who haven’t gotten into it yet I highly suggest you do ASAP!

Joke's on you, I'm already on the Dressrosa arc of the anime using One Pace and I am really loving it!

I finally convinced my best friend to start reading one piece like three days ago. And he’s not even into anime or manga. He’s already towards the end of Dressrosa . Your videos also helped me convince him because he would catch me watching your videos and become intrigued with one piece

I started one piece 3 weeks ago after losing someone very close to me I needed something to put my mind into and keep me occupied. I’m now halfway through Thriller Bark and it’s like no show I’ve ever seen before. Never have I felt so attached to characters in a show watching them grow and just spend time hanging out together is one of my favourite aspects of the show, with the amount of time you spend with them they become much more than just characters on a show. I don’t think any piece of media has ever made me feel so emotional either with almost all the straw hats having such amazing backstory’s and even saying goodbye to a ship brought me to tears. I’m just so glad I made the decision to start watching it and can’t wait to see where it goes next. I was initially put off by the childish tone but it was the world building and characters that always drew me back in and that unparalleled sense of adventure just waiting to see what the next island holds. I’m just so glad I made the decision to start watching it and can’t wait to see where it goes next. Also water 7/Ennies lobby top 5 arc of any anime I’ve ever watched.

I had that one friend who for years would pester me about watching One Piece. See, I was a Naruto fan from childhood. In Canada, they aired shows like Inu Yasha, Sailor Moon, DBZ, and Naruto a bit later. I would get hooked into Naruto pretty hard. They totally avoided One Piece. I would not learn of One Piece's existence until I met this said friend in High School. It took over a decade of him asking me and a global pandemic to even think about attempting to watch this show in its entirety. I started this journey just over a year ago, and I have been hooked ever since. I try to keep my binges reasonable and thus I am only at the beginning of Whole Cake Island (Mama Mama!) I cannot wait to get to Wano.

Edit: I'm now at the end of the Luffy v Katakuri fight.... mind blown.

honestly the pacing is fine when you can binge watch it, its just when you gotta wait weekly it becomes painful, still absolutely love both anime and manga!

He is so right.

I started One Piece on a lonely Christmas day once. When our whole street had a power outage and we stayed in a hotel for christmas.

I thought why not try One Piece?

I watched the first episode... and have never looked back since.

Liam, we know that this channel isn’t for making one piece easy to get into, it’s clearly to show off your incredible toaster

My life was changed by One Piece it gave me more joy than anything else. It pains my heart to see than even though very very few people among those who know watch Anime, none of them have ever tried to watch One Piece . And I am not very good with expressing emotions through words . Thanks for your very convincing video . Because the joy I gain is too much for me alone and I want to share it .
