Thanks. Have a 2020 4 door sedan with 95K on it already. Been clunking for a while now. Thought sway bar links. One is sloppy so I just replaced it. Didn't stop clunking. But rear right shock looks to have been leaking. Tomorrow's another day. New shocks and the left sway bar link next.

Tried to remove the two 12m bolts but I couldn't get leverage to remove them. (used the 12m socket with extension and a small breaker bar) Probably going to try some penetrative oil not sure what else I can do.

The factory shocks on the 2020 Civic are pretty crappy even when new. Are the KYBs better?

I've seen videos where guys have had to take that entire inside wheel well lining out in order to get at the top bolts. Is that necessary? I've got to replace the rear shocks on my wife's 2016 Civic EX-T sedan.

Was the blown shock the source of the clunk? My 2016 sedan with about the same mileage has a clunk in the right rear suspension. Looking for the source of the clunk, I found the shock to be leaking but I was still suspicious of the upper mount. Seeing your shock completely blown out leads me to believe I probably have the same problem and the clunk is the shock hitting the full extension stop. I also have inner rear tire cupping but that started well before the clunking; maybe the shocks aren't supposed to last 200k miles. 😂

so after all this time did that fix the "alignment" issue. My 19 civic just chewed up the rear tires so I'll replace the shocks but my wife's 2022 CRV seems to be doing the same thing.
the inside tread on both tires is scalloping.
curious if that took care of it on your civic.

I noticed you didn't have the weight of the vehicle down before you tightend the bolts obviously your can't tighten suspension when vehicle is at rest in air. Nice try tho
