Thank you for this info it’s helps women, I replaced one side on Chevy suv, but it was acting exactly like what u explained, plus my front tire keep looking air, over bump shakes a lot, getting it repair right now and the guy show me the oil coming out, so it’s bad- thank you so much!

Hey, my car rear strut is toast or the top mounting plate for shock is gone...
I can grab just under the top of the shock where it mounts to the plate and spin it around and what not or if i grab the wheel and simulate bumping you can see and hear it moving around(Top of shock), i dont know if its the shock or the bushing that go inbetween the top of shock...

I am also thinking that it could be the top bolt has come loose on the shock/strut allowing it to have play it clunks and knocks pretty good when hitting the slightest bump...
