Ο Εχθρός/The enemy

Λίγες σκηνές από την παράσταση "Ο Εχθρός" της ομάδας θεάτρου Αστροναύτες.
Με βάση τον κώδικα του βωβού κινηματογράφου η ομάδα Αστροναύτες μεταφέρει στη σκηνή μ’ έναν μοναδικό τρόπο μια ανθρώπινη ιστορία, που δημιουργεί ερωτήματα γύρω από τον πόλεμο, τον ηρωισμό, το φόβο και την προπαγάνδα. Με λιτή αφήγηση, ζωντανή μουσική και πλούσια εκφραστικότητα, οι ηθοποιοί της ομάδας προσφέρουν γέλιο και συγκίνηση σε ένα θέαμα που μπορούν να απολαύσουν όλοι, ανεξαρτήτως ηλικίας, κουλτούρας, φύλου, εθνικότητας.
Είναι μόνοι, οι δυο τους κάπου στη μέση του πουθενά. Ούτε καν θυμούνται πότε εγκαταστάθηκαν στα λαγούμια τους για πρώτη φορά. Πέρασαν πολλά χρόνια από τότε και τίποτα δεν δείχνει να αλλάζει. Δεν έχει δει ο ένας τον άλλον. Δεν έχουν ανταλλάξει ούτε μία λέξη. Μόνο σφαίρες. Μισεί ο ένας τον άλλον. Φοβάται ο ένας τον άλλον. Πολεμάει ο ένας τον άλλον. Πάντα.

Έτσι τους είπαν. Έτσι πρέπει. Μολονότι είναι κατάκοποι! Παρόλο που ονειρεύονται τη λήξη του πολέμου… Ποιος θα κάνει το πρώτο βήμα για να σταματήσει επιτέλους αυτή η εξαντλητική μάχη;

The Enemy. No words show for children
A silent performance based on the homonymous fairytale by Davide Cali.
They are on their own; just the two of them, somewhere in the middle of nowhere. They cannot even remember when they moved into their ditches for the first time. Many years have certainly passed by since then and nothing seems likely to change. They have not even caught a brief glimpse of each other. They have not exchanged a single word. Just bullets. They hate (each other). They fear each other. They fight each other. Always, each and every time. That is what they were told. That is how it must be.
Even though they are spies they daydream about the war ending. So, who will take the first step and put an end to this devastating war?
This new performance by Astronauts theatre company is based on “The Enemy”, the masterpiece (of) Davide Cali and Serge Bloch. Putting into use the communicative potentialities of Pantomime and Silent Cinema acting techniques, Astronauts’ team approaches in a visceral yet innovative way this remarkable story. “The Enemy” raises questions about war, heroism, fear and propaganda. Combining minimal narrative deployment with live music and vivid expressiveness, this is a performance which everybody can enjoy regardless of age, gender, culture, nationality or any other beliefs so as to access that state of being where laughter and compassion coexist.
