If the supreme Court was serious about basing its ruling by the constitution individual states wouldn't need to remove him. ALL states would.

"It's frightening that just a handful of states will decide who the president is". Um Roberts that's the current state, they are called battleground states, 5 or less, a literal handful. Does that make Roberts afraid or completely ignorant.

Why is it that Colorado can't make the decision to take trump off the ballot and Abbott ignore super.mcourt discion on the state of Texas

The Colorado Court decision didn’t apply to all states: It found that Trump engaged in insurrection. Its decision applies to the ballot in Colorado.

They weren’t worried about women’s uteruses with us… they had no problem kicking our bodies back to the states… and why was Thomas not recused from this hearing? It stinks and it doesn’t look or feel good at all.

The way the Supreme Court keeps juggling state versus federal rights and privileges to suit their personal and political views and ambitions is disgusting. Their approval rating should now below zero.

The court shouldn't do this half-assed approach. They need to determine YES or NO if Trump ineligible

I've long since got over thinking that the Supreme Court justices had some supreme logical or studied judicial thinking behind their decisions. Jena Griswold confirms this in this conversation as have others, such as Glenn Kirschner, who have since commented on today's oral arguments.

I had to find some place to drop this thought: Where, exactly, does the Federal Government have the place in the electoral process to enforce the 3rd clause of the 14th Amendment? Nowhere. All elections are State run, and if there is a qualification restriction, who if not the States could determine and enforce that? And this part was not addressed in any way.

As a Norwegian and one of probably billions all across the World who were watching, aghast, the attack on USA's Capitol unfolding on live TV before our very eyes,
it is beyond bizarre, and frankly depressing, to behold how it even is up for discussion whether trump is suitable to be on the ballot or not.

The justices did seem dreadfully shallow today.

Trump is a very special situation. How many presidential candidates in the past history of the United States have fomented an insurrection prior to running for president? I can only think of Trump. People seem to think that insurrections will be a common occurrence that many states will use as an excuse to eliminate presidential candidates from their ballets. This is absolutely not true.

Why should Iowa and New Hampshire decide who is on the ballot for the entire country?

More than half of US states have already determined for themselves not to allow felons to vote and/or run on their ballot. If they can handle that decision, they can handle this decision.

Democracy takes courage. Obviously, the Supreme Court is lacking in courage.

If every state would copy a ballot initiative of another lone state, then why did the Dobbs decision go through?

Has every state subsequently embraced the overturning of Roe v. Wade?

That assumption by the justice is specious and lacking integrity.

DOJ refuses to prosecute FjoeB because they say he's too Old, Stupid & Senile for his own good & ours?! Wuuuttt?! 😂

Kagan asked if a single state could choose who can be president. That's pretty much what happens with the electoral college.

Griswald and Reid are real pieces of work... Their side got skewered badly yesterday by their own "home girls"... However, love their spin to the embarrassment... The Court without saying it was referring to Article 4, Section 4 - guaranteeing a State's Republican form of government. IOWs, if Trump is disqualified in Colorado he could lose the Presidency, which would be adverse (for example) to Texas, which voted overwhelmingly for Trump as its selection for President - hence denying it its republican form of government... I predict a unanimous or near unanimous decision AGAINST Colorado.

It's a misleading question which shouldnt be answered. Its not a case of states deciding...its one state or more asking the supreme court to decide for all America...based on existing constitutional LAW!!! Any other argument is ignorant or disingenuous!!!!❤🇺🇸
