The 10 BEST States to Buy a House and live in the USA for 2023 & 2024. These are not only some of the Cheapest States to Buy Real Estate in America, but also feature many of the best cities and small towns to move to due to affordability, steady housing growth and low risk of home prices crashing!

It's nearly everyone's dream to own a home one day, but unfortunately that just isn't possible in many expensive states such as California and New York. However, there are MANY parts of this country which still have affordable home prices which never saw HUGE pricing increases, but rather sustainable growth, and thus, are much less likely to experience a housing crash!
But many of the CHEAPEST States to live in just plain SUCK, so today, I compiled a list of states which are at least decent places to live, while also being affordable with growing housing markets! And some of the places on this list are actually among the BEST States to Live in!

In order to determine which US states are the best (and worst) to buy a home or rental property in, we analyze a few categories including inventory levels, new construction numbers, the economy, and long term price stability. I also implemented my personal opinion and experiences and the pros and cons of each location!

My biggest suggestion is to visit these states first to decide where you want to move to and live.

I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.

Prices in Idaho have not plummeted. A basic starter home is still $350, 000 to $500, 000. All homes are about $200, 000 overpriced.

Northa Dakota & South Dakota...so underrated. No one ever speaks about them, forgot they existed myself. But wow, the value and quality of life!

Great video. It doesn't surprise me that Kansas would top such a list. I drove through Kansas twice last year and I enjoyed it twice. Like its neighbor Nebraska, it's not for everyone. If you don't like the plains, you're not going to like Kansas or Nebraska. I love the Plains, so I love both states.

Rural Iowa, St. Joseph, Missouri, rural Nebraska and Kansas are all great affordable markets.
You can get modest homes for under 100k. Stay out of cities like St Louis and Kansas City--lots of crime. Nebraska has high property taxes. Iowa is a very low tax state. 😊🎉😊

I'm from WI, and the prices are still stupid high. I'm actually here right now to help my mom. Milwaukee is a total getto and outside of there nice houses are 400k plus. Standing in the garage of one as I type. Winters can be absolutely brutal, I left and live in Florida now. WI weather is always terrible. Unless you like never seeing the sun and enjoy the colors brown and grey most of the year.

Your absolutely right!! The Midwest is starting to make a comeback and I am seeing revitalization in Toledo, Cleveland, Akron, Canton, and Youngstown.

It is incredibly obvious why each of these states are not lived in... they all have bad weather and do not deal with it. The entire midwest is nothing but a playground for strong twisters and most homes don't even have basements. Many of the states listed here have life threatening snow storms and cold weather. And, unlike Boston or NYC, they don't have subways to get around. This is a very misleading list.
