We are electrical organisms. Despite the science, using electricity to calm down the hyperactivity only makes sense. This method is already used for phantom pain…

Make sure you keep us updated on the hyperacusis too, i heard of a lot of people seeing progress on that front too with DIY Susan Shore devices

A Medical Device should takes less time for the FDA to approve than say a drug, especially one like this that's non-invasive and really has no chance of hurting the patient, the lack of FDA approval is frustrating.

Thanks for doing this! I'm dying to try it! Nothing else has worked for me. My life is so affected by my tinnitus, hyperacusis & diplacusis in left ear (distortion) for almost a year now. Have grown cranky, to say the least! 🙂

Looks like it's up to you guys to make this available to everyone because the FDA have no plans to ever release this to the public, damn them ...

So this device actually works? But we have to wait years for the official device from the Auricle company? It could save lives, especially for those with catastrophic tinnitus, why do we have to wait so absurdly long for the official device to be released on the market😢😢

this is an amazing feat of work sir, I don't want to get too excited but it gives me a glimmer of hope, would this possibly help hearing loss induced tinnitus?

This is amazing work, and as others have said gives some hope in making tinnitus more manageable. A couple of questions. How did you ensure the timing is right between the shocks and the sound as I believe this is very important? Secondly how close does the sound need to be to your own tinnitus to make this work well? I think I might struggle with my own sound because it is very variable. I have what I would say is a static sound but then another which oscillates but which is also very close to the original static sound, so it seems like one thing is going on in my ear, but i think it's actually 2 separate things
