Hopefully it has some base building and automation options. If it gets to actually release, that is. A party system with NPCs, conjures, and familiars could also be cool.
That said, I'm really curious on what Age they plan on setting this in. 4th Age would be interesting, as there were no large human settlements at the time.

I'm the type to usually wait for the full release when it comes to trying out new games. I have been playing a number of open world survival game in the past few years. So a Runescape universe of that sounds interesting. Will definitely have me interested to try out it since I'm a Runescape player and already invested in the lore.

The Real Runescape 3 is coming!!! A decade in the making!! Id love an Arc style or a rust style even would be incredible. Love the way you compact the lore in an accurate and fun way.

I am thinking either the Wilderness right before the God Wars would be amazing. All the fighting, chaos, construction would be amazing. Then the other is a Pre-Drakan arrival of Morytania since he corrupted the whole place. So that sinking feeling of doom and loss of everything definitely would fit the horror theme well.

it's nice to see them finally work with modern technology in terms of a game engine. I'll gladly give it a go, if I see freemium style monetization like Rs3 has though I will give the final release a hard pass, I'd rather pay a sub and for expansions than deal with that predatory crap

Jagex has been trying to develop other games for more than a decade. It’s always ended in either cancellation or failure—mechscape, some unreleased survival game, funorb, ace of spades. None of these came even close to success, so I’m not expecting much.

This new survival game is most likely linked to darkscape than anything else.

Also single player so the narrative is more controlled.

Bruh, the art is getting too detailed , if this is going to happen they better optomize it very well or they will lose new players. Most players don't have that beefy PC/phones to play this game this days
