I've noticed that the number of Holocaust deniers climbs with every Holocaust survivor we lose. It's no coincidence that after Robert Clary's passing, anti-Semitism spiked. He was known for two things: Speaking about the horrific reality of the Holocaust, and feeding strudel to Schultzie. When we lost him, we lost one of the boldest witnesses to the atrocities of National Socialism.

I remember learning about the holocaust, And watching 8 mm reel to reel films, when I was 11 years old at a military school. It affected me in such a way that it forever opened my eyes to how people can be so insensitive about joking about immeasurable evil.
