Forgiveness is not saying what the other person did is ok. It’s letting it go so you don’t have to carry that weight around anymore.

My heart melted when she said " I have two kidneys and one sister, so it was an easy choice" 🥺

"I had two kidneys and one sister, so it was an easy choice."

Her heart. She's so kind. A love so pure and selfless.

EDIT: Just finished the whole video. She was so strong... and brave to forgive. She is so powerful for what she did.

Just 30 minutes... and she would never see her whole family again.
Imagine your mother being taken away from you. That's painful, it really is. There are no words to describe it.

"I had two kidneys and one sister." Only a true hero would say that so bravely. At least she is now reunited with her family.

I had the pleasure of meeting Eva in my high school cafeteria. I had no idea who she was or her history but enjoyed chatting over a sandwich. Later that day our school had an assembly where Eva spoke of her past. She was a true warrior. I will forever be grateful for the things she taught us. Humanity must never forget the atrocities committed. When we forget or deny it happened, we open up the possibility of repeating it. Thank you Eva. We will never forget you.

I went and saw Eva in 2018 for a school field trip and after she was finished with her talk, and everyone was walking around i walked up to her with my friend and asked her if I could give her a hug and she said yes. After I gave her a hug she was teared up and she said that I just made her day and that it meant a lot to her. The next year she died and I thought about that day and it means a lot to me that I made her happy.

TO hear what she went through from 3:40 on hurts. It really, really pisses me off that there exist people who dismiss the entire Holocaust as fake. There are survivors, videos, pictures, and the damages to buildings from the war still exist. To dismiss the torture and to belittle their experience is just a terrible thing to do. It makes me afraid for what lies in the future, when there are no more survivors to speak the truth.

I had the pleasure of meeting this woman. My mom interviewed her for her museum in Indiana. She stopped the interview right in the middle of her answer to tell me to tie my shoes. National treasure...

“What doesn’t kill you make you stronger.”

This lady demonstrated that quote when she survived this. God bless her and may she be happy.

I consider myself to be a very empathetic person and I don't hold grudges, but how did she manage to forgive the people who murdered her whole family? She's a living saint.

She visited my daughter's school. And gave her story to a completely silent, and awestruck audience. What this woman endured is both sad and amazing. Rest in peace.
