I think part of the reason why it didn’t break because the walls seems to be made of gypsum and the floor isn’t ceramic, still impressive though!

That front piece of "glass" was probably designed for nothing more than fall and impact protection. Like a tear away for motocross, it was meant to be an expendable part of the product long term. The speaker thing is definitely concerning. If someone is picking them up by the straps or carrying them that way long term, how long before that speaker area becomes damaged.

This video was actually educational, I am not sure what everyone is whining about. I always wondered what happens if the front glass shatters, now I know.

I usually hate these types of videos. BUT…this is the first useful and hopeful. I actually watched to the end. Great news that the front glass is mostly a “cover.” Replacements will be on the market soon. Possibly silver, gold, and blue mirrored! :)

I worked at the Apple Store and what they don’t tell you is when a new product comes out, if it breaks immediately for any reason, they will take it back and give you a full return or give you a new product with or without AppleCare

The durability of this thing is crazy. Also I have seen pictures of the little speaker pods being removed from the main unit so I think they might be replaceable? If so then if a regular person broke their speaker pods and had apple care they could probably just go and have it replaced at the apple store.
