I've been so afraid and worried about changing the starter in my light fixture, but watching you so casually pull it out (while it was still on!) gave me the courage to try it myself. As a mature aged dad, I get no thanks, no acknowledgement, but inside Im giving myself a hug and a congrats.

Thanks. I didn't dare to change this myself but after watching your video I realized it's easy.

My light doesn't seem to have a starter, and I bought a new LED tube but they said you gotta update the starter as well. Is it possible my light fitting is an old one that doesn't take LED lightbulbs BUT doesn't have / need a starter ? Thanks in advance.

hi I have a loose starter in my flourescent light, I tried putting a small tape on it to keep it in place

is it safe to do so? the tape is small and only touches the starter not the lights

does the starter heat up after the light is on? or just stay cool until turned on/off again

It seems by you removing and putting the starter back, you can't get shocked. I was told to replace a starter and have no clue whether the fixture is in off or on state since it's a pullstring but haven't found anything about whether you can get shocked so been holding off for now.

My fluorescent light was very dull so I changed the bulb. That worked but when I turned it off and then back on again, I had the same dull light. What is the problem? The starter?

tHANK YOU. I HAVE A QUESTION. I HAVE A DOUBLE FLUORO TUBE LIGHT FITTING AND EACH TUBE HAS A STARTER, HOWEVER WHEN I REMOVED ONE TUBE THE OTHER ONE WOULD NOT WORK AT ALL. SO DOES THAT MEAN I NEED A SERIES OR A SINGLE STARTER FOR EACH TUBE?

Should the starter last a long time if you use CFL that is always on? I've been told that you should replace the starter when you change the light-bulb, is that really the case? I know it doesn't cost much, but when you have a lot of lights it adds up...

My round fluorescent light has been dead. I finally decided to replace the bulb, but it does not turn on. Do I need to replace the starter? How do I tell if it needs to be replaced? Thank you!

Once the lamp is on, does ac still flow through the starter or is it bypassed? If bypassed how is there still a path for ac to flow?
