These are always great. Real people with real long term success. True grit. Kudos.

I'm an African-American male that grew up in a housing project! I was raised by a single mother, who didn't get any forms of child support from my father! At the age of 23, after cash-flowing college, I starting investing, both in my company's 401k plan and the stock market! I would do 15% of my gross income into the 401k, and about $200 per month in the market! Over time, this put me well into millionare status (I'm 51 now, turning 52 in Jan!). My suggestion to others, especially young AA males: invest as early and often as you can, as compound interest is your friend; avoid out of wedlock children, as child support can destroy your financial plans; stay out of trouble; live w/in your means, even if it means buying cheap cars and clothes (hip-hop tells us that we should splurge and 'floss'); and avoid debt (pay cash for every thing).

I’m currently active duty military and I found you out 1 month ago and I’ve found out that 2 of my sergeants did the baby steps and are debt free

Great video. No debt, live below your means, save and invest. That is how everyday millionaires do it.

What should I invest my money in what vehicle would you recommend
How can I grow it? Should I invest every month?

These are all great accomplishments but something should be said about the average incomes especially an early 30 yr old making $150k/yr is a luxury and rare. The shovel to hole ratio is an underestimated factor to consider.

#1 live below your means use the 401-k type of savings, you never see it so that makes it easier, make sure you do research on your mutual funds to invest in .Invest in Real -Estate again do your home work #1 is location buy a dump in a good location .

Rachel from Denvor- she kinda sounds cocky and loves to add the fact she donates to politics. Working and sacrificing doesnt make a time machine for people to go back and buy a an affordable property that sky rocketed in price due to speculation.

Imagine being in your late 50’s and only be worth 1 million

House doesn't count if it is your personal residents. It costs you money instead of making you money.

Leverage is not a bad thing as long as you are making smart investments with the leveraged funds. I borrow against my stock brokerage account to make loans to my own affiliated real estate development company at 10% plus interest. It works for me.

I hate to burst that bubble but a million isn't that much. You are not rich if you have a million.

The concept that a million is a lot is outdated. Sure in the 1950s a million was a lot. But now? It's about 100.000 $ in 1950s money. Not bad, but not unusual either.
