Imagine buying a honey badger, and not suppressing it. It's like dropping full price on a Ferrari, but ordering it with a 4 cylinder engine.

I would bet a $800 AR would take way more punishment and keep running.

Worth is relative. It’s worth it if you can afford it and want it. Could you get the same performance out of a gun that’s less money? Probably

I commented on a Garand Thumb Instagram post about it... basically said it was pretty, but probably over rated, and the owner of Q(?) blocked me... That tells me everything I need to know about them.

Most times, expensive guns Are indeed NOT WORTH IT. You can build a far better AR, for less than half of that.

So there are only two production ARs in 300 B.O. that have a barrel this short, and a 1 in five twist rate in the barrel rifling. That means it's better at stabilizing heavier bullets at low velocities, ie ... 220+ grain subsonic ammo while suppressed, which is the intended design and purpose of this firearm. The modifications to the BCG design further this aim. Because these differences are not standard, they are proprietary, custom, more costly. And because they are unique, you'll pay a little more again because it's the only way to get them, if you want them, from a factory. Gunsmith miles may vary ... Go figure.

I don’t think the gun is garbage. Actually it’s fantastic, & probably one of the highest quality AR’s available…..

It’s also worth significantly less than 3000. To call it “overpriced” is an insult to other overpriced platforms. Q & KAC better enjoy each other’s company because no one else does!

I looked at buying an MCX for a .300BLK platform, but ended up building my own .300BLK for way cheaper lol it runs just fine

The finish is the best thing on it. Increase barrel length & send it out the factory with steel irons & a few other upgrades & it might be worth $1500 lol

if you have the money for it, absolutely. its an amazing gun and performs flawlessly. the sugar weasel is also a really good option, but you could full build a VERY NICE ar for the price.

Honestly, you can customize any AR. That one looks pretty cool with the colors used for the stock and handguard. The bcgs can get pricey depending on brand and finishes, i.e., phosphate, nitride, or nickel-boron. The lower looks like its no frills too.

The only thing dumber than ditching the dust cover was Kevin Brittinghams justification for it.

That gun is more of a fashion accessory than it is a tool.

absolutely worth every penny. when you buy "Q" its an investment. Plus you get the Fast twist rate barrel. That Fast twist rate is proprietary to "Q" so you cant buy one for your AR. That fast twist rate is responsibe for the deadly baallistics of this 300BLK. Shoot the same 300 BLK out of a normal barrel and you DONT get the same results PAY the 3000 for the price you pay for moving up to join the "Q" club

We have crossed the rubicon from "this is a functional tool" to "this is an overpriced luxury product and status symbol"

Wait until you try to access the BCG and then put it back together.... that will tell you all you need to know about Q.
