How To Backup A Mac On iCloud

Let's show you how to back up your Mac computer on iCloud.

In this video, I walk you through the steps to back up your MacBook or Mac Desktop of iCloud. First, go to System Preferences and then sign in to your Apple ID. Now select the apps that you can sync with iCloud. Go through and select which apps you want or don't want to be backed up to iCloud and they will be synced.

This video simply shows you how to sign in with your iCloud account and then sync your iCloud software into iCloud so it's shared across your Apple devices. This is NOT showing how to backup your Mac into iCloud as that would involve TimeMachine.

I still don't know how to back this up and I didn't need to sign in as I was already signed in so you didn not give us an alternate rout to the apps window - no idea how to get there.

Hello . Does the iMac have to connected to internet via Wi-Fi ? I’ve been trying to back up to iCloud for 5 days and it seems to be extremely slow. I do have a lot on my iMac though . Will it back up if my iMac is hard wired to internet ? Thanks

What good is it if you don’t show the whole thing? You show just enough to anger us. That is to say you only show enough to say we don’t know what we are doing. Why bother putting out a video if you don’t go all the way? That is how you get negative reviews that don’t make you look good.
