I think the next couple of months are going to be strong left, but Americans are VERY forgetful. Remember, Dobbs was in the midterm year. If there was an election today, I truly believe the democrats would blow out the Republicans because the economy is currently crashing. It wasn't enough that Trump said his plan was to tariff the hell out of the world and that every economist said tariffs are a terrible idea and it will destroy the market. The current state of the economy wasn't predictable, it was inevitable.

I told my sibling in October that if they vote for Trump, the economy will crash because tariffs are a war tactic. They said "but I felt like we did better under Trump than Biden." They did not, they were just on a recency bias kick. People don't think long-term or even short-term. They focus on whatever is directly in front of them. I am scared that people who say "I made a mistake voting for Trump. This is not what he promised us." When this is exactly what he promised, will forget the hurt they are feeling today, next November.

still can't stress enough how important it is to not only vote against republicans, but also vote against moderate, incrementalist democrats at the primaries if you're registered. We can't continue to flip flop from one party to the other expecting a different result. Moderate corporate sellout democrats are the reason we're in this mess. We need real change, and not just performative, empty words.
