I am quite happy that I managed to solve this! :) My calculator, however, refused to solve it; so I wasn't sure about my answer until I had watched your video!

Should be 1/16, as -64 can be written as (-4)^3, which nicely cancels with 2/3 in the exponent, leaving ultimately (-4)^(-2) or simply 1/16.

Hi, can you resolve this and thanks in advance
ABC is a triangle and D is a point of [AB] such that AD/AC=AC/AB=2/3,
M is the midpoint of [CD], the line (AM) intersects [BC] in point E,
calculate CE/BE

Nice problem! Gotta be careful with the negative sign!

I did 3rd root of -64 ^ -2, brought the equation to denominator making the exponent positive and evaluated

Every time that a even number is a power of a negative number, the number under this power will have a positive signal. But, when the number is a odded power and the number under this power is negative, the signal will stay the same than before.

Then, we could say that, for example, (-4)² is 16 and (-4)¹ is -4. The rule will be applicated in a power of a number between brackets, square brackets and keys in the same way at the example. I hope that i could helped! And, I am Brazilian 😁

(-64)^(2/3)
Is this equal to 16?

Ok but what if I wrote (-8)^2 instead of (-4)^3? Isn’t (-8)^2 equals 64?

Just be careful when you elevate a negative number to a non integer power. The canonical result is -0.03125-0.05413j

Wow that is the most hardest questions i have ever seen

Ага, а теперь из 1/16 получите -64 путем возведения в рациональную степень!
