From personal experience, I think looking after your teeth is really important for maintaining lip fullness. Tooth loss, gum disease and bone density loss in lower face can all contribute to changed lip shape in older age, as well as more wrinkles around mouth and chin area.

I have had three tiny pre-cancers zapped off the top of my upper lip. This has distorted my lip line on the right side of my mouth. I have to define a line with lip liner and lipstick. I am diligent with sunscreen on my face and lips now, but it’s a bit too late. I see a Dermatologist every six months to have my pre-cancer spots removed. Not the worst cancer you can have, but word too the wise - learn from the mistakes of the older generation (I am 70) and don’t do what we did and bake in the sun for hours. That lovely golden tan isn’t worth what’s coming your way later in life.

Love the "no BS" derm advice. This is the best resource for skin health on YouTube.

I love Dr Drays advice for aging gracefully. It’s always the same thing….Sunscreen, healthy diet, exercise, sleep. It’s so simple….why can’t we do it and why do we keep looking for alternatives 😆

Can you please do a video on the scientific breakdown of how alcohol affects the skin. I recently decided to give up alcohol for life at 26 because I don’t want to risk anything harming my skin and potentially causing premature signs of aging, among other health issues.

“Not necessarily UV rays that are reflected off the ground.” There’s always something I’m missing when I think I’m doing everything to protect myself from the fun sun 😅

Allen Carr’s ‘The Only Way to Stop Smoking’ helped me immensely to quit; an audiobook is also available.

I highly encourage people to preview a chapter of the (audio)book - Brilliant!

As much as I hate to admit it, I'm still smoking cigarettes. I've tried to stop for years, but have never been able to fully quit. I was the closest I had ever been before the pandemic hit, but then I let the stress get the better of me, and was back up to a pack a day in no time (amongst other things) 😕 I won't give up though! I had more important things to deal with for a while, but now I can shift my focus back to smoking

I have never smoked, however I sucked threw a straw until I was 30th and had horrible smokers looking mouth. I am not a drinker of alcohol… I think straws are horrible long term!

Good day, I hope you could do a dedicated video talking about artificial sweeteners like aspartame in “sugar-free” sodas. Are they any better than regular sugar, safeties, effects on skin and more. 🤩🤩

in one of your videos you said: ‘if you smoke - stop’. i heard it, and for someone who smoked for the half of their life, i knew it wouldn’t be easy. i tried several times and failed. but i gave it an honest chance this time and i’m more that 2 months smoke free. it’s the first time i said it out loud by the way. i was so sure that i’d eventually fail so i decided not to tell anyone about my new attempt. i think i need to thank you for this one. thank you Andrea 🤍

When I was a kid and started getting chapped lips, my dad gave me regular Chapstick which I use to this day….every day multiple times. Nothing works as well for me. However, I do also use lipstick and lipgloss daily and I use Vaseline morning and night. I’m 51 and my lips are still pretty full as I’ve had full lips my whole life. My lips are literally NEVER bare or dry…always protected.

OMG I'm SO glad you mentioned that retinol can cause lips to temporary shrink! I've never heard anyone else mention this. I used retinol around my mouth area (not directly on the lips) and I woke up and my lips were noticeably smaller. It was very disturbing and distressing. It took almost a full week for them to look normal again. I'm going to but a barrier cream around my mouth now before using the retinol.

I've been using Cerave moisturizing lotion on my lips for about 2 years now and my lips have been in the best condition of my life. Soft and "plumped" and they never get chapped anymore.

Thanks for the lip balm around eyes, I've been using it because my crinkle lines get chapped and sting when I sweat. Lip balm helps this a lot!
