as a fellow acoustic reading is amazing. Try not to act like we’re all a monolith we all have different desires and thoughts and abilities. For me reading took a little extra effort but once I understood it and how it worked, it was beautiful.

nothing like using someone else’s guidance to build an entire world in my imagination with my own creativity.

I took decorative painting classes in the late 90s and found a book on a self-taught English artist called Bunty Miller, just a small biography book but with lots of pictures of her work and it was so interesting, I even bought a second copy and gave it to my teacher. She died in 1989, but there's a website, and the book is available for download/viewing. I've also borrowed the book about Iris Halmshaw, who became famous for her gorgeous paintings (and also for her therapy cat, Thula)

As a collage artist, no book is safe in my home. Don't let me anywhere near your bookcase. I would simultaneously fall in love with your books and also rip them to shreds 😂

I have a book in full Japanese that i cannot read, the only English words are a translation of the title "the world of art", and the images are so forking cool

Oh I'm the same way. 90% of my books are photo reference. I get so many off Amazon for like 2 bucks each too.
