In photoshop once a project is complete, there are a wide range of formats you can save your image out to. It all comes down to what the image will be used for.

In this tutorial I am going to discuss the process of saving, i'll be talking about some of the things we need to consider and then save out to a couple of common file formats.

Enjoy

**FYI**
In this video tutorial I will be using Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 for mac. Almost all of the principles demonstrated and covered will apply to future and previous versions. Some differences may apply if you are using a previous or future version.

Hi there, thank you very much for this playlist, exellent work!
I'm working with Ps v24.1.1 and it has changes, that I had to clarify in comments or Youtube. One of them is saving. It wouldn't let me Save as type...Jpg format and this is what I found - From Adobe: “Hi, Since the update to v22.4, if your file contains items that are not supported in your required format (e.g. layers or 16 bits/channel) then the file format is moved to the Save a Copy menu. This was driven by changes in the Mac Operating System, although the changes are applied to both Mac and Windows versions to keep them aligned. It makes a lot of sense. If all content is supported, Save As, if the document has content that is not supported and will therefore be lost, Save a Copy”
I hope this helps other new viewers in this course 🙂

Is it always recommended to save PNG with the transparent background(grey and white grid area), I mean is it the usual practice of Saving PNG in that way or its situational? If anyone knows I'd be thankful.
