Layer styles in Adobe Photoshop Ep16/33 [Adobe Photoshop for Beginners]

In Photoshop we have a function called Layer styles. Layer styles offer a range of visual effects that you can be applied to layers within the layers panel.

In this tutorial I am going to discuss the Layer style feature and later I will demonstrate some examples which you can follow along with.

In this video tutorial I will be using Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 for mac. Almost all of the principles demonstrated and covered will apply to future and previous versions. Some differences may apply if you are using a previous or future version.

Great and simple explanation!
I have only one question: in the last layer style "Colour overlay", I am interested to know how to do it like the form it was before you apply the color overlay. I mean by that, before you apply it was a different degree of colors in different regions with specific shapes... Can we do that using photoshop?

When I try open the font document and download the fonts, Photoshop says could not process your request because it is the wrong document. I tried opening the document in Microsoft Word and download the fonts but it still didn't install the fonts into PS. I'm not sure what's going wrong?
