The military has ensured that VA Disability benefits for survivors are readily available for families who have had to endure the greatest of tragedies.

Here at VA Claims Insider, we know that one of the most unfortunate realities of military service is that sometimes we lose our loved ones too early.

If you are reading this you are most likely either a current service member, a veteran, or the family member of a service member or veteran looking to make sure things will be ok if you or your loved one passes away. You’re probably asking, “What kind of benefits are available for the family after the person who served is gone?” Or, “Will the VA take care of my family after I’m gone?”

Because of this, we have taken the time to put together this video so that you can know exactly what to expect from the VA should something happen. Here we are covering the different VA Survivor Benefits available for the immediate families of veterans and military service members who pass away.

I’ve been stuck at 90% with appeals at 24+ months.
I can’t even put in a new claim because I’ll lose my back pay.

I've not seen where you must be 100% P&T for 10 years to qualify for DIC (death not caused by a service connection disability). It states 100%. At least that is what I've found. Great site and info!

Regarding the budget shortfall there are people spreading rumors on YouTube that we might not get paid for months or a year obviously there wrong it’s mandatory spending. Can you shed more light on the truth about the issue?

I'm 100% disabled through the PAC Act. I have terminal cancer. What can I do to be classified permanent and total disabled before the ten years. I want to make sure my wife continues to collect my disability pay.

When does the countdown start for the 10 years DIC eligibility? When claim that makes you 100% is awarded or when it is 1st initiated?

Thanks for all this information. Does it matter how long I have been married for my spouse to qualify for DIC?

Is the budget shortfall anything to seriously be concerned about? I think people are trying to overdramatize this issue on YouTube.

What if a vet has 90% but has 100% with unemployability

First, I would like to say that I am a vet...There is no reason why a spouse should not get benefits. But, anybody should not. That's pretty simple. We all want our dependents to prosper but why should we ask tax payers to pay for it. Its just like student loans, good for them if they got a real education but to ask all the tax payers to pay for it is lunacy and wrong.
