Kevin Afghani isn’t a bad voice at all. Just because his voice for Mario is different doesn’t mean it’s bad. Also people hate him because he “replaced” Martinet when really he’s keeping a legacy up.

If I were Nintendo's CEO, I would make 3 iconic voice dubs for Mario in each game just for continuity:


English dub = The same deep, raspy voice with a Brooklyn accent as heard in Hotel Mario.

Italian dub = The iconic high-pitched, enthusiastic All-Italian speaking voice we all know and love.

Japanese dub = Where Mario talks with the same voice actor from the OVA adaptation.
