I love how the 2D deaths still use the very same one since NSMB, even if you listen closely the sound still has that DS quality.

SMB 1, The Lost Levels, 2, and 3 don't have the melody (Square Wave 2). It sounds creepy and weird

Edit: Nevermind, it's just my Vivo Y77 5G phone speaker. My Gaming Freak Spark 3's or any stereo earphones or headphonea made a difference
