Dracula actually means dragon. He was part of a secret royal family like many others that exist today underground. They say, all those royal families will rise up someday and lead the world again.

Dracula is a novel, Vlad Tepes was a Romanian royal prince and was known for his cruelty, not for being a vampire. Even though he was a bloodthirsty man he stopped some Persian invasions as penance.

While this is all very interesting and fascinating, I think we should follow the Bible's advice and "let the dead Bury the dead". The old fella's been dead for centuries now, so let the graves keep their secrets.
There's still a huge amount of money to be made out of him, either as a mythical beastie or as a medieval tyrant with an interesting history.
So personally, I would be content for the mystery of the whereabouts of his grave to remain just that - a mystery.

I am thinking they believe this is his body tomb and don't want it to be desecrated nor turned to a tourist trap. Remember to the vast majority of traditional Roman Catholics he would be considered a knight type Martyr. Also it is possible an order of monks were charged burial, sacrements rites, and maintaining it. Just a thought .

Loved the research of Dracula, yet it's strange did they think they could hold him for eternity? Yet they hid his body thinking someone might reserect him. Don't they know he has more evil followers who worship him. Something for those monks to think about. History repeats thru life time.
