I hate it so much that these farms are making TADC get the reputation of being a “kids cartoon”, despite the fact that it’s about people being pretty much trapped in their minds, attempting to keep their sanity for as long as possible, having to suffer with trying to remember who they were physically and still dealing with the same and new mental issues that they had previously. Episode 2 makes Pomni grieve the loss of a close friend, seeing them get killed right infront of her. Episode 3 shows how Kinger suppresses the trauma of seeing his wife go insane, causing it to ruin him and who he appears to be to others.
Episode 4 is focused on Gangle and how vulnerable she is compared to everyone else, slowly losing her mind and grip on reality over the course of that episode, and once she gets herself back together, goes through yet another traumatic experience by nearly getting hit by a truck.
Hell, the show’s whole premise is based off of “I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream”; a short book by Harlan Ellison, published in 1967; about a sentient ai destroying humanity and torturing a select few people to the brink of starvation. Purposely keeping them alive until all but one kills themself.
