The distraction test is hilarious. I used to have a friend watch my video while over my shoulder and anytime I got the urge to say "hold on, the next part is good" or "It gets better" I knew that I needed to cut it

Personally I feel like the flow of my videos disappear if I edit my clips too short. From what I have learned about subtitles, the audience needs more seconds than you do (as the creator) to take in everything they read. So you might read a subtitle in 1-2 seconds, but your viewer reading it for the first time needs maybe 4-5 seconds. I believe the same goes for videos. You can keep the clips on the shorter side as long as they are long enough for the new viewer to get all the information they need from the one clip.

Session times and average video watched per viewer are always pretty much neglected statistics when it comes to talking about youtube so it was amazing to hear your guys' thoughts on it in correlation with the quality vs quantity spectrum

How can a short-form creator start creating successful long-form videos?

I struggle so much with this thing about not trusting the audience and I try to create a super fast-pacing on the videos, it kind of works for short-form but for long-form, since I don't have a team or lots of cameras, I run out of footage super quickly when creating a fast-pacing long-form video.
