To anyone who doesn't know the story:
It's basically that Sans is already on the verge of death. As his final move, and because he is already weak, he tries to make you reset. With all his knowledge, he makes you remember your Pacifist Runs. "don't you want yourself some slack? come on kid, just reset." Eventually, at the end, you're given a choice. Fight or Spare. Fighting just makes Sans disappointed in you, and he says "welp. that's your choice. heh..." and dusts away. Sparing has you hug Sans before he dusts away, after which you reset.

This sounds like Sans is realizing it's the end for him, kinda like Disbelief phase 4, he starts bringing in all the good memories they've had, trying to find some kind of humanity inside the player, trying to get them to reset. He shows them that there's more to life.
He may succeed..
He may fail.
But in reality.. all he wants is to rest.

this is WAY better than oh man sand didnt do the die 9999 more times. he just tries to talk to you to stop. After all after a big fight it would be to hard to keep going.
