It's intriguing how effortless the Thargoids manage to open witchspace. They seem to delicately open the portal, while human drives feel more "explosive", tearing a gash in spacetime.

This lends to the theory that they're from the witchspace dimension itself, only entering normal space to explore.

As far as depictions of an alien species and how different they are, this is right up there. Their spaceships, how they collect resources, how they enter warp is all completely different.
