In other words ... it's not isolating anything at all. You've built a simple riser for your amps.

The way to improve the stabilization is to build the platform: fill in with SAND then you put a square of marble inside the containing box just depositing it on the sand. The marble shouldn't touch anything rather than the sand .. thus it should be smaller than the perimeter of the containing box.

Beautiful job but I'm not sure why an amplifier would need shock proofing. Speakers and turntables would make sense. Is this a tube amplifier?

He is using metal spikes, MDF, stones, silicone and solid stone top. All different materials of different densities. This technique will dampen noise and vibration using any different materials. Obviously some better than others.

How does it do? Can you tell a difference?

It looks good. I think the biggest impact should it turntables then the stability works of vibration lamps but does it affect the work cdplayer? since cdplayer has correction data further transistor amplifiers. Stand vibration eliminates vibrations from the ground but the equipment is still subjected to vibrations of the acoustic wave from the speakers, it can only help closing the set in a room, housing, or set of equipment where are the smallest standing waves. On the other hand, the better the insulation from the substrate the more the greater susceptibility from the acoustic wave
