Henrik von Eckermann is one of the best show jumpers in the world right now, currently ranked #2 on the FEI World Rankings, and he is now finally in the Ridely app to share his top training tips!! 🥳

In this first video, Henrik explains that rhythm and balance are the most important things you need around a course. Even if the distance to a fence is off, having a good rhythm and balance gives the horse the best chance of clearing the jump. 👌

Starting with a 6 year old young horse, Henrik demonstrates how he uses pole work to encourage his horses to find a good rhythm and balance, as well as adding variety to their training.

Hi I watched obe of your videos where you were helping a horse with his head carriage as the horse was coming into his fences with a very high head carriage! I was a little taken back when you told the rider to put a martingale on the horse rather than accessing the bit in his mouth first??
