I notice since this might be an older video, you are using 1.4.2 -which leads me to ask what were the limitations in that version compared to what was introduced in 1.5 and changed in 1.7 (which I am migrating to). I have a grasp of the "promise interface" but what did people do without it?

Thanks for the tutorial which was helpful. One point though; you keep saying DOM "transversing". It's "traversing.

Surely transverse relates to something being in the opposite direction to that expected, like a transverse mounted engine.

Traversal relates to travelling accross something (like the DOM in this case)
