When I realized the loneliness of a crowded room I never again felt alone in solitude.

Remember: the time you feel lonely is the time you most need to be by yourself. Life's cruelest irony.

I’ve been alone for 30 years. No love, no intimate contact, misery. A few months ago i I decided to let go of all the regret and told myself if I am
Going to be alone forever, it’s time to accept whatever the fates have in store for me. I decided to relax and embrace whatever happens with calm and with a smirk. Yesterday I went to get my last paycheck from my old job and the girl I had a huge crush on for the past year came up to me and hugged me and asked it I would want to go do something with her. I can’t believe that it finally happened. When you embrace this life, all the good, and all the bad amazing things happen. Be brave, put love and light into the world. Let go of all resentments. That is when miracles happen and your life will radically change and all the suffering becomes worth more than diamonds.

At 65 I have lived a solitary life, by choice. To survive life's betrayals and pains from relationships with those that do not heal themselves or baggage. I do not want to fill my conversations with gossip, talk about sports, and other human distractions that keep one from facing their inner self.

There was a time when I thought there was something wrong with me. I discovered that I'm an introvert and need lots of alone time. Being alone is very peaceful

8 Years + I've been alone. Disconnected, but connected when need. But mostly alone and giving little to NO power to distractions. I never regret the time well spent.

there are worse things than
being alone
but it often takes decades
to realize this
and most often
when you do
its too late
and theres nothing worse
than

As an introvert I enjoy my alone time, to reflect and to learn. I travel alone, I ride my motorcycle alone. Most people are superficial and misinformed.

Like everything else, solitude is a skill gained from experience. I was unhappy for a long time, but now I am loving every moment being best friends with myself. Very thankful for this process.

Thank you, I love being alone. I am never lonely. I read, I listen and think, meditate and rest. There is so much noise outside. There were few movements when I thought that my loving my own company is weird. Thank you for letting this thought go.

Indeed, most people are shallow and boring. They don't bring value to my life. Friends are overrated.

There is a very big difference between being alone(intentional) & being lonely(unintentional). Two very different states of mind. Solitude is very necessary for self discovery & self transformation. Once you are fully transformed it is necessary to reintegrate back into society because human interaction becomes beautiful and less threatening once you become fully grounded and centred in who you are.

When you are at peace yourself, solitude is bliss.

I am a ‘social minimalist’ (a term I heard recently), so I appreciate solitude. It is more meaningful for me when I allow God to be present.

I love being alone, and I NEVER feel lonely. Actually, technology makes being alone even more enjoyable to me. When I want to connect with people, it's just a click away. No, they don't have to be present or people I will ever meet or know.
