Happy to see the Devil Survivor series land at the top of this list, because they're certainly at the top of mine. The original team that developed the DeSu series disbanded after Atlus's parent company went under and they were acquired by Sega. Hopefully one day, DeSu3 can come to fruition on modern hardware and bring back its incredibly versatile and strategic gameplay.

Liberation Maiden is a 3ds digital exclusive by Level 5 & Suda51. Relies heavily on the touch screen so likely will not be ported. Totally worth getting!

ur so right about Fantasy Life, so nostalgic to me. Played it since i was in 4th game.

You can easily put in over 100 hours especially if you purchase the dlc which is a very rare steal for the amt of content

Dude you are the second person to recommend getting Radiant Historia before the eshop closes. I played it last year and it’s one of my favorite games. gooood. You gotta finish it because it is worth it.

The 3DS versions of SMT Devil Survivor not only have voice acting, history wise they have a LOT more content. They have like 6 new endings/expansions of previous endings.

Wow this was actually a really good list--possibly the best 3ds recommendations I've heard on youtube. Far too often I see the repetitive takes of "get *this* mario game, grab *that* sonic game, maybe this *insert triple A game title here*" and I never hear about the JRPGs that are lesser-known. Before watching this video, I thought Atlus only made SMT and Persona, didn't know some of these other JRPGs are also made by Atlus like Radiant Historia and Stella Glow (publisher, not dev, but still). Great video!

Going to look heavily into Stella Glow and 7th Dragon! Just picked up SMT:DS1, DS2, SJR, 4, and 4A. I have physical copies of all of these but they are slowly rising in price... Might sell them off in the future. idk. Also grabbed DQ7 and might grab DQ8.. I have a physical of 8 but again, might be worth selling it someday!

I find the approach of looking at games for their current price and potential inflation, instead of gameplay or story, quite alien to me.

About adding funds: you don't need a Switch to do it. As long as you have a Nintendo account you can do it. You will be prompted to "merge funds" with the Nintendo account and the eshop. Then your 3DS or WiiU can access your balance.

Starship Damrey is good. Is like classic Resident Evil without the guns. It is not perfect, but I really enjoyed it. It lasts for about 2-5hr. depending on your reading speed and puzzle solving skills. Short, but entertaining.

Worth mentioning a new Fantasy Life game got announced recently ✌️ might even raise the price tbh.

I would suggest ever oasis. Not a popular title it's like fantasy life. It's an action adventure rpg game that you get to also take care and build your town by restoring it and adding to it and you can leave you oasis that you're restoring to fight battles and go on adventures.

There is a store chain called 5 below. Everything is $5 or less. I saw a shelf of tons of new Yo Kai Watch games. Didn't grab one, sad.
